A fire door isn’t just a door with a rating stamped on it. It’s built, tested and certified to hold back fire and smoke, providing people time to get out and firefighters time to get in. Get any part of this process wrong and the door doesn’t do its job when it matters.
That’s why fire door manufacture is something we keep entirely in-house, from a purpose-built facility in Kent. When we control every stage, from design through to testing, we can stand behind every door that leaves our factory.
FD30 or FD60: What’s the Difference?
FD30 doors give a minimum of 30 minutes of fire protection. They’re typically used in residential properties, including flats and new builds or three storeys or more.
FD60 doors give a least 60 minutes of fire resistance. They’re mainly used in high-rise commercial buildings, where residents need more time to evacuate safely.
Both are designed, built and tested to meet those exact standards, not just built to a similar spec and hoped for the best.
Built In-House, Tested Independently
Our fire doors come out of a 21,000-sq ft manufacturing facility in Kent, fitted with specialist machinery for both standard and bespoke sizes. Every door we make is independently tested and certified by our on-site team before it goes anywhere near installation.
Bespoke Doesn’t Mean Compromised
This often surprises people. Fire doors don’t have to look like traditional fire doors. We offer a wide range of designs and colours across our Front Entrance and Communal Door ranges, so the door fits the building’s aesthetic, rather than standing out from it. If bespoke sizing or custom finish isn’t what you need, standard sizes are available too, so there’s no unnecessary cost or lead time either way.
Backed By Real Certification
Our fire doors are certified under BM TRADA, Secured By Design (SBD), FSC and UKCA. That means every door leaving our facility has been through both independently certification and our own internal standards process.
